The Old Birkonian Football Club celebrated it's centenary with a celebration dinner on Saturday 24th September 2022.
The event was attended by former players and guests, current and former staff, representatives of the Old Birkonian Society, and special guests from New Brighton, Caldy and Cheshire rugby organisations.
Hosted by Michael Burrel, with Grace from Brian Boumphrey the evening was interspersed with speeches from David Ewing, the Headmaster Paul Vicars, and Joe Pinnington from New Brighton RFU representing the guests. There was also the opportunity to view a vast range of memorabilia put together from Birkenhead School's Archives by Ian Boumphrey, and a chance to watch a recent rugby game of Birkenhead School's First XV versus Calday Grammar School.
