This year’s OB Golf Day at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake, will take place on Friday 3rd October 2025.

We return once more to Hoylake, for which my thanks goes to Royal Liverpool . This event is open to all OBs, and is played as a Stableford competition from the yellow tees with full course and playing handicaps. As ever, we are playing for:

Hoblyn Trophy (open to all competitors)

Hoblyn Prize (for those with Handicap Indices of 11.0 or more)

Mick Bowyer Shield (Scratch Prize)

Putting Cup.

We have the tee from 11.30pm to 1.30pm.

The usual, sandwiches are available in the bar beforehand (not included in price below). Meeting up before play is always a good start to the day so it would be best to convene in the bar beforehand.

Dinner will follow golf at 7.30pm in the Clubhouse (jacket and tie please).

The cost this year will be £165 to include green fee, dinner, wine, and prizes (£80 for Members of Hoylake). If there are any special dietary requirements, please let me know.  OBs dining only are welcome, at a cost of £80.  Following the practice of recent years, the society cannot accept bookings for golf only, as this is not fair to the Club.
